A leading Aquatic and Leisure Industry business based in south-west Sydney, is looking for a marketing generalist in a newly created role as their Marketing Manager.
 
You will have full autonomy to design, develop and implement a new marketing strategy for a very well-established family-owned business, with offices in Australia and New Zealand.
 
With the business currently on an exciting growth strategy, the impact of effective and engaging marketing has never been so important. And, whilst working closely with the owners of the business, sales teams and external creative resources, you will have the opportunity to craft something of your own and really make your mark.
 
With real variety in marketing initiatives; from campaigns, to digital, social and events, across B2B and B2C, this is a really broad role with a lot of opportunity for growth within a supportive and flexible working environment.
 
 
The day-to-day:
 
  • Working with the leaders of the business, designers, a digital agency and website developers, you’ll drive ongoing brand enhancement initiatives across their customer and distribution network, social media and company website
  • Manage social media channels with assistance of a social media support person; crafting and curating content, campaign planning, scheduling and always looking for ways to optimise growth and engagement based on performance analytics
  • Via authorised product resellers, you will create and deploy marketing programs that add value and support the growth for the group
  • Design and implement a 12 month marketing calendar and budget across multiple divisions of the company
  • Plan, promote and deliver a few larger events per year such as tradeshows and exhibitions together with the team
  • You’ll be on the lookout for perfect partnerships with complimentary brands that you can set up and nurture with the aim of cross promotion to reach new audiences
  • Throughout the year there will be larger campaigns for you to design, develop, project manage and implement for exciting new product releases or customer engagement initiatives
  • Using a team of external copywriters and video producers, plan and create strategic content
  • Bring your enthusiasm to contribute to a team environment; taking an active role in building the positive culture of our company
 
About you:
 
  • Senior digitally-minded marketer with 5+ years of experience
  • You’ll have a strategic focus but also comfortable managing all aspects of campaigns with support from the team and our partners across digital and marketing
  • Experienced in both B2B and B2C marketing
  • Excellent at multiple project implementation and management
  • Excellent communicator who can engage and leverage other team members, share your ideas and gain buy-in from stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and autonomous worker who can instigate, lead and engage others to help execute your marketing strategy, but also enjoys getting your hands dirty to implement any aspects of the marketing strategy
  • Highly desirable skills include copywriting and basic graphic design skills

Based in south-west Sydney, the initial onboarding and training does need to be done onsite, with the opportunity of flexible working once embedded in the role.
