A great opportunity for a Midweight Copywriter, used to writing human-centred, engaging copy across a range of digital media channels including social media. As part of a Customer Experience Agency, but focused primarily on one major account, your words will inform and engage target audiences of a major financial institution.
You will be responsible for developing written and verbal content for creative client projects in predominantly digital channels. Alongside the ability to write great long and short copy, being conceptual and innovative in social content production is a particular focus for this role.
Reporting to the Executive Creative Director and Creative Director, with support from the Head of Copy, you will have the opportunity to continually improve and refine your copywriting. The wider team is made up of UX designers, service designers, conceptual art directors and writers, working on agile requirements in a collaborative environment.
There is an expectation of consistent, high quality creative work from all Copywriters, across the following responsibilities:
  • Writing for social media, contributing conceptual and innovative ideas for pushing content on social platforms
  • Create CX conceptual communications across short-form and long-form copy.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with all stakeholders on projects.
  • Develop your presentation skills in order to present your work in Friday Morning Meetings and support your team during client presentations.
  • Assist during brainstorming sessions on new campaigns or large jobs within the agency.
  • Understand, remember and keep to client brand guidelines.
  • Work with Account Managers on client feedback debriefs.
  • Proofread and self-edit all work.
  • Work within the allocated time estimated for creative concepts and design, and proactively liaise with Project on job status.
  • Work closely with senior members of the creative department to continually refine and improve your craft, including goal setting and review meetings.
  • Support and adhere to agency process.
Examples of creating social media content, along with writing across long and short form copy is required. Financial institute writing experience is preferred.
